- A contest is one stay on one scrape day where at least two sites quoted the same hotel. Ties count as wins for everyone tied.
- “vs market” is the median of how far a site’s price sits from the median site in each contest. Negative means it usually undercuts the others; zero means it is the market.
- Sites with fewer than 20 contests are left out — one lucky Tuesday is not a track record.
- Room types aren’t reported by the sources, so a very large gap can be a different room, not a bargain.

Which site wins most of the price comparisons?
On 17 September 2026, Super.com was the cheapest in 30% of the 3,428 hotels that at least two sites priced (1,039 wins). Every other site won some, which is why the per-hotel board matters more than the league table.
Do hotels beat the booking sites on price?
Not as a rule: the hotel's own site won 7% of the 3,428 hotels on 17 September 2026 where two or more sites quoted the same stay (233 hotels). The direct quote is on every hotel page next to the others when the hotel publishes one.
How many booking sites does StayScope compare?
538 booking sites are known to StayScope; 190 booking sites have a current price for at least one hotel today. The table lists each with how many hotels it quotes, how often it is the cheapest and how far its price usually sits from the median site.
What is a “contest” between sites?
Every hotel-stay-day that at least two sites priced is a contest, won by the lowest total. The share is wins over contests entered, not over all hotels, so coverage and price are two separate columns; a site with only a handful of contests is left out of the podium.
Does the ranking change from city to city?
It changes: switch this page to the city grid to see each site's share of wins, coverage or typical gap in every city, with the city's leader marked. A site that leads overall can be an also-ran in one market.
When were these prices last checked?
